Diagnostic Testing
We have the expertise to properly assess your pet's condition and, in doing so, provide the appropriate treatment. Our in-house blood analysis instruments enable us to offer complete blood cell counts and comprehensive blood chemistry and electrolyte analysis within minutes. Our partnering reference laboratories enable us to perform other non-routine diagnostics and advanced blood work with quick turnaround-typically within 24 to 48 hours. Our radiology and cardiology equipment enable us to offer several diagnostic and pre-operative tests to determine the proper treatment for your pet.

General Surgery
If a surgical procedure is required, it will be handled and monitored by a skilled team using the best equipment, instrumentation, and vital statistics monitors. Our consulting pathologists provide exceptional diagnostic support with quick turnaround time.

kaiRadiographs
With our x-ray equipment, we are able to perform and read radiographs, usually while you wait. We consult with board-certified veterinary radiologists in cases which may require an outside opinion or an ultrasound exam.

Pharmacy
We can provide you with your pet’s pharmacological and herbological needs with little waiting time for prescription refills. For existing clients with on-going prescriptions, you will soon be able to request prescription refills on this website.

Preventive health care
We strongly believe that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". We strongly recommend yearly check-ups for your pet along with individualized, regular vaccination protocols and annual screenings for intestinal worms and heartworms.

Emergency Care
When a critical situation arises after hours, we share our cases with several local 24-hour full service veterinary emergency facilities. Should you have an emergency, please call (530) 795-6090.

Vaccinations
We can protect your pet against contagious diseases and rattlesnakes. We tailor individual vaccination programs to your particular pet’s needs.

Dermatology
When it comes to caring for your pet's skin, we offer medical tests and treatments for allergies, hormonal and thyroid disorders, as well as other complications.

Microchipping
We provide microchip implant technology that registers your pet and reduces its chances of being lost. Pets retrieved by local animal shelters are scanned for information and returned to their owners. We participate in programs designed to help with the cost of neutering or spaying pets adopted from animal shelters, and regularly offer spay/neuter discounts during the month of August.

Nutrition counseling
We can prescribe special diets and counseling for the preparation of home-prepared diets to help treat skin, heart, kidney, liver and other intestinal diseases. If your pet's weight is a concern, we will create a healthy low-calorie feeding  and exercise program tailored to your pet's breed and age.

Behavioral counseling
If you are having a behavior issue with your pet, we can help. You don’t have to live with your pet’s poor behavior – it can be changed with proper training in understanding the dog/cat mind, and diagnosing and addressing any underlying causative medical disorders.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a treatment method available for animals that can restore balance and stimulate healing within the body by stimulating certain special points called "acupoints".

Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a non-Western, whole-body approach to healthcare where patients are treated using natural plant products, minerals, and acupuncture.

Hip and Elbow Certification
Hip and elbow x-ray certifications are always recommended prior to breeding dogs. To help maintain the integrity of the breeds, we offer both PennHIP and Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) certification to reduce canine hip dysplasia, and OFA elbow certification to reduce canine elbow dysplasia.
